Research Abstract Submission
The Association of Indian Physicians of Northern Ohio (AIPNO) Annual Research Showcase (RSC) Committee is pleased to announce the 2017 “Call for Showcase Proposals”. We invite you to submit an application to participate in the Research Showcase. The RSC is scheduled for September 23, 2017 at Cleveland Convention Center, Cleveland, Ohio.
Call for Posters - Open till August 30, 2017
The concept of AIPNO Research Showcase was born 5 years ago to further the purposes of AIPNO which includes “Conducting educational programs to acquaint the members with clinical, scientific and other developments in the field of medicine”. The Research poster competition aims to showcase the research work done in the Northern Ohio community by health care professionals and basic science researchers and to award them for their work.
This event helps to exhibit the research work being carried out in this dynamic community and also helps in networking of health care professionals with vision to attract, recruit and retain talent in Northern Ohio. Here posters are presented by high school students, medical students, resident physicians, fellows, medical school faculty, nursing students, Nurse practitioners, hospital administrators, basic science research scientists, other healthcare/management providers and quality departments from hospitals.
This event aims to attract talented researchers to the area and to retain researchers in the area. AIPNO Research Showcase has grown over the last five years and this year is expecting participation from researchers all over the United States. Senator Sherrod Brown, Mr. Sam Pitroda and NEOMED Dean Dr. Jeffrey Sussman have given Key Note Speeches in the past events. Over 1,000 participants are expected for the event.
Abstracts are printed in the program booklet and cash prizes have been awarded. Younger generations’ participation in AIPNO has thus been achieved with great enthusiasm.
Establishing research grants in the future, bringing more researchers into this great organization, helping younger physicians, nurses and administrators to network and mentor new members are the goals of this committee. This further broadens the purposes of AIPNO.
It is truly amazing to see how the members, healthcare systems and the community comes together to give back to the society. AIPNO is grateful for the continued support of all the health care systems in Greater Cleveland including University Hospitals, Lake Health, Cleveland Clinic, and Centers for Dialysis Care and Community Businesses.
