MEDICAL YATRA

Healing the world, One Life, One village at a time

Medical Yatra is a humanitarian mission organized under the umbrella of Association of Indian Physicians of Northern Ohio (AIPNO) reaching out to poor & destitute, especially in underdeveloped countries. “YATRA” is a Hindi word for pilgrimage.

AIPNO humanitarian missions are spiced with Yoga. Meditation, and Spiritual discourses, and visitation to temples, churches & synagogues. YATRA Physicians and volunteers-known as “Yatris”- get enriched with spiritual knowledge and experience immense inner peace & joy while doing humanitarian services.

Our trips to India during months of January/February have been an annual event since 2001-Gujarat/India earthquake. During Yatra missions, we help hundreds of villagers with primary health care, dental and eye care and provide FREE medicines and eye glasses.

AIPNO physicians have also provided relief to the people in disaster situations: Earthquakes, Tsunami, and Hurricanes etc. They have traveled to
Haiti, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Mexico, Uganda, Kenya, Ecuador,Burundi and India.

Medical Yatra has received awards from Rotary clubs, and Cleveland International Hall of Fame.
